"MYSOTA ('the Company') values the privacy of its users and complies with the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea and other applicable regulations. This Privacy Policy applies solely to the aether astrology and Saju interpretation service operated by the Company."

This document is provided in English. It applies equally to all users, regardless of the language in which they access the Service.

Purpose of Processing

The Company processes personal information for the following purposes:

  • Providing the astrology and Saju interpretation service (generating and delivering results)
  • Customer support including handling error inquiries
  • Statistical analysis for service quality improvement
  • Compliance with applicable laws and dispute resolution

Personal Information Collected

— Free reading service

  • Items: Gender, calendar type, date of birth, birth time, whether born in Korea
  • Method: Direct input by the user during service use

— Account registration & management

  • Email sign-up: Email address, password
  • Google social login: Google account email, profile information (name, profile picture, etc., within the scope provided by Google)

— Error inquiry

  • Name (optional), email address (if a reply is needed)

— Reading delivery by email

  • Items: The email address you submit to receive your full reading
  • Use: Used solely to send you the reading you requested. We do not sell your email address.

— Automatically collected

  • IP address, access date/time, usage records (visits/clicks/views), cookies, device information (browser/OS, etc.), referral source, etc.
  • Analytics & advertising tools: We use PostHog (product analytics), the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, and Google Ads tags to understand how visitors arrive from advertising and move through the site. These tools set cookies and may transfer the data above to servers in the United States. You can opt out through your browser settings or the ad-preference controls offered by Meta and Google.

— Payment (via our payment provider)

  • Items: Name, billing address (country, city, postal code), phone number (optional), order and transaction identifiers, payment amount and status
  • Method: Entered by you on the secure checkout of our payment provider, Dodo Payments, and shared with the Company to fulfill and support your order
  • Card details: Your card or payment-instrument number is entered directly on Dodo Payments' checkout and is processed by Dodo Payments. It is never collected, transmitted, or stored on the Company's servers.

Retention and Use Period

The Company destroys personal information without delay upon achieving the purpose of collection. Where retention is required by law, information is retained for the applicable period.

— Reading input data (date of birth, birth time, etc.)

Retained for 90 days after service delivery, then destroyed.

— Account information

Retained until account deletion. If retention is required by law after deletion, retained for the legally required period.

— Records required by law (Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce)

  • Records of contracts or withdrawal of offers: 5 years
  • Records of consumer complaints or dispute resolution: 3 years

Provision to Third Parties

The Company does not provide personal information to third parties without the user's consent or a legal basis. If third-party provision becomes necessary in the future, the Company will notify users in advance and obtain separate consent.

Outsourcing of Processing

To operate the Service, the Company relies on overseas service providers for hosting, data storage, AI-based reading generation, email delivery, and analytics. Because these providers are located outside the Republic of Korea, the recipient, items transferred, and purpose for each are disclosed in the "International Transfer" section below (Article 6).

International Transfer

To operate the Service, the Company transfers certain personal information to service providers located outside the Republic of Korea, as set out below. By using the Service, you are informed of these overseas transfers in accordance with Article 28-8 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

Vercel Inc. — United States (Virginia)

Purpose: Website hosting and execution of server (serverless) functions

Items transferred: Birth information you enter (date of birth, birth time, birthplace, gender), access and usage logs

When & how: Transmitted over the network as needed while you use the Service

Retention: Processed in transit; not separately stored (logs retained only short-term)

Supabase Inc. — United States (Virginia)

Purpose: Database storage and retrieval

Items transferred: Birth information, reading results, email address

When & how: Transmitted over the network as needed while you use the Service

Retention: Until account deletion or a deletion request, or until the purpose is achieved (see Article 3)

Google LLC (Gemini API) — United States

Purpose: AI generation of readings (interpretation of your chart)

Items transferred: Birth information (date of birth, birth time, birthplace, gender)

When & how: Transmitted when a reading is generated

Retention: Used at the time of processing; not separately stored by the Company

Resend, Inc. — United States

Purpose: Sending emails (reading copies and order-related messages)

Items transferred: Email address, reading content

When & how: Transmitted when an email is sent

Retention: Until the sending purpose is achieved / for the sending-log retention period

PostHog Inc., Meta Platforms, Inc., and Google LLC (Google Ads) — United States

Purpose: Usage analytics and measurement of advertising performance

Items transferred: Cookie identifiers, IP address, access date/time, usage records, device information, referral source, etc.

When & how: Transmitted via cookies and tags as you use the Service

Retention: Per each provider's own policy; you may opt out via your browser settings or the ad-preference controls offered by Meta and Google

Dodo Payments Inc. and its group companies (Dodope Payments Limited; Sarvapanchhi Technologies Private Limited) — United States (Delaware), India, and other countries where the group companies are located

Purpose: Payment processing, billing and refunds, tax reporting, and fraud prevention

Items transferred: Name, email address, billing address (country, city, postal code), phone number (optional), order and transaction identifiers, payment amount and status

When & how: Transmitted to the payment provider at the time of payment

Retention: For the statutory retention periods applicable to payment, refund, and tax records

Card details: Your card number is entered on Dodo Payments' checkout and is never collected or stored by the Company.

Your Rights

Users may exercise the following rights at any time:

  • Right to access personal information
  • Right to rectification
  • Right to erasure
  • Right to restriction of processing

Destruction of Personal Information

  1. Procedure: Personal information is destroyed after the purpose of collection is achieved, in accordance with internal policies and applicable laws.
  2. Method: Electronic files are deleted using technical methods that prevent recovery; printed materials are shredded or incinerated.

Security Measures

  • Access control and minimization of personnel with access to personal information
  • Retention and tamper-proofing of access logs
  • Installation and inspection of security programs; encryption of data in transit (SSL, etc.)
  • Encryption of sensitive information
